Most Outdoor Pursuits trips are designed for beginners so you don't need experience or skills, we teach you what you need to know. We want you to develop the skills to be able to go out on your own, make new friends and community, and learn something about yourself as you take on a new adventure. A pre-trip meeting is required for all trips which last more than 2 days or are very technical in nature. Deadlines for registration are usually the Tuesday a week before the trip leaves, so come into the ORC and sign up early to reserve your spot.
Our 54ft wall is the tallest collegiate wall in Texas. Equipment is provided at no cost. Specialty clinics and experienced staff help you learn the ropes. Difficulties range from beginner to advanced.
The Outdoor Resource Center (ORC) is located just inside Campus Rec's main entrance. Sign up for a trip, borrow gear, and learn more about local and regional outdoor adventure opportunities. We offer high quality equipment FREE to use for all members. Staff are on hand to help you understand how to set up and use the equipment.
