Latest information on operational modifications for fall 2021 Roadrunner Roadmap

Water Safety Instructor

Masks are required to be worn while inside the building and on deck. During class, your instructor will ask you to remove your mask while giving breaths to the manikins and while performing in-water rescue skills (if required). All manikins and equipment are sanitized prior to each class. Where possible, we will space participants 6 feet apart. Due to the nature of some aquatic courses, there will be times that this is impossible. In-water and partner/team rescue skills have been modified to reduce transmission between participants and you will be assigned to the same group for the duration of the course. If you have any questions or concerns prior to your in-person session, please email taylor.roby@utsa.edu. The safety of our participants & staff is our highest priority.
