Aquatics
The Aquatic Center, conveniently located behind the Recreation Wellness Center, can be accessed through the locker rooms and the Games Lounge. This facility features a Lap Pool, a Leisure Pool, and a Sand Volleyball Court, providing a range of activities for all interests. The center is open to Campus Recreation members and offers ample opportunities for informal recreation. The Aquatic Center has certified lifeguards on duty whenever the pools are open. Please feel free to ask them for any assistance you may need.
Whether you're a casual visitor looking to dip your toes in the water or an avid swimmer, the Aquatic Center offers something for everyone! Enjoy swimming laps, playing water basketball or volleyball, splashing around, or simply relaxing on one of our comfortable chaise lounges or Adirondack chairs.
The Aquatic Center also provides a variety of American Red Cross swim lessons and safety courses to enhance your swimming skills and safety knowledge.
Don’t miss out on Wibit Wednesdays, when we set up our inflatable obstacle course in the Lap Pool for your enjoyment. Stay connected with us on social media for updates on special programs like Battleship and Key Log Rolling Clinics.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Occasionally, inclement weather may necessitate the closure of the Aquatic Center. You can check the current status of our lightning detection systems using the button below. If there is an alert, the Aquatic Center will temporarily close for your safety.
For safety reasons, please note that the Aquatic Center will be closed if the air temperature drops below 40 degrees.
