About Campus Recreation

The Department of Campus Recreation was established in 1998. Campus Recreation has grown from programming in the PE Gym and Track Field to now providing over 185,000 square feet of indoor space, 10 acres of artificial multi-purpose fields and a satellite facility at the UTSA Downtown Campus. Campus Recreation is comprised of Aquatics, Club Sports, Downtown Programs, Fitness and Wellness, Intramural Sports, and Outdoor Pursuits. Enrolled students are members of Campus Recreation and are eligible to use all of the services provided as well as participate in programming. To serve its patrons, Campus Recreation employs 26 professional staff members and approximately 300 part-time student employees.
