Payroll Deduction for UT San Antonio Faculty/Staff
Interns and Researchers

To access any Campus Recreation facility, you must present a UT San Antonio ID Card or a Campus Rec ID Card.

All members must also complete the Campus Rec waiver before participating in any activities.

Students 

If you are a current UT San Antonio student enrolled in academic classes and have paid the Rec Fee, you are already a Campus Rec member!

  • Present your valid UT San Antonio ID Card to access Campus Rec facilities and programs.
  • If your class is held in the Recreation & Wellness Center, you must still bring your UT San Antonio ID Card to enter.

Not taking summer courses?
Students registered in the spring semester and enrolled for the upcoming fall semester are eligible to purchase a summer membership for $120 at the Membership Desk (debit/credit card only).

  • NOTE: Summer memberships are valid from mid-May through mid-August.

UT Health Students 

  • UT Health students enrolled in academic classes may purchase a monthly membership for $30.
  • Memberships are sold on a per-month basis, and multiple months may be purchased in advance.
  • UT Health students may use all Campus Rec facilities and participate in all programs except Intramural Sports.

Non-Students 

Non-student memberships are available to the following groups:

  • Current or retired UT San Antonio and UT Health faculty/staff
  • Spouses/partners of current members
  • UT San Antonio and UT Health Alumni
  • Visiting UT San Antonio and UT Health interns/researchers (see more information below)

Individuals not included in the above categories are not eligible for UT San Antonio Campus Rec membership.

Alumni memberships are available to graduates of UT San Antonio or UT Health, as well as to members of the UT San Antonio Alumni Association.

Membership Details

  • All non-student memberships are $30 per month.
  • You may purchase multiple months in advance.
  • Your UT San Antonio Card serves as your Rec Center entrance card.
    • If you do not have a UT San Antonio Card, a non-transferable Campus Rec ID Card will be issued. (Replacement cards are $5.)
  • Non-student members may purchase a Class W parking permit from Campus Services.
    • This permit is valid for unmarked spaces in Brackenridge Avenue Lot 2.
  • Only current UT San Antonio students and current UT San Antonio faculty/staff members are eligible to participate in Intramural Sports or Club Sports.
    • All other members are welcome to enjoy all other Campus Rec programs and facilities.
  • To request a refund for a pre-paid membership fee, please bring your credit card used to Member Services to process your refund.

Payroll Deduction for UT San Antonio Faculty/Staff

UT San Antonio faculty and staff may pay their membership through payroll deduction.

To enroll:

Processing timeline:

  • Forms must be submitted by the 14th of the current month for billing to begin on the 1st of the following month.
  • If you wish to start immediately, you can pay a prorated amount for the current month at the time of registration.
  • If you register after the 14th and want immediate access, payment for the current and next month is required (since payroll processing will not cover those months).

Interns and Researchers 

Visiting interns or researchers conducting work for a UT San Antonio or UT Health department may purchase a membership through departmental sponsorship.
(See Non-Student Memberships section above.)

Sponsorship requirements:

  • The sponsoring department head must submit a written request on departmental letterhead, including:
    • Name of the intern/researcher
    • Start and end dates of the sponsorship
    • Addressed to Burt Ferguson, Assistant Director-Member Services, at least 7 business days before arrival
  • The sponsoring department is responsible for the conduct of the intern/researcher, including any damages, interactions, or financial obligations.
  • Sponsored interns/researchers must present a valid government-issued ID at the time of purchase.
