American Red Cross Safety Courses

The University of Texas at San Antonio – Campus Recreation is an Authorized Provider of the American Red Cross. We offer a variety of lifesaving courses throughout each semester. Completing a course results in an official American Red Cross certification via email.

Late Policy

If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the start of the class, you will not be permitted to complete the course and obtain certification. You can sign up and pay for another course at a later date. However, you will not receive a refund for your missed class time.

Refund Policy

Refunds or transfers to other classes are not allowed when the course is less than 48 business hours in advance for most courses (instructor-level courses or other courses that require online prerequisites will require a whole week's notice). We cannot offer refunds once a course has started (including students failing online or in-person requirements). Cancellations and transfers made 48 business hours in advance will result in a $20 administrative fee. Refunds are not given when participants fail prerequisite testing or have started prerequisites.

Waitlist Information

If a class is full, you can be added to a waitlist. If spot(s) become available, we will notify participants in order of the waitlist. Often, openings happen at the last minute, so if you end up on the waitlist, please know that you may be called on the day of the course.

Courses Available by Request
