Lifeguarding Instructor & Reviews

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

We offer both the Lifeguarding Instructor course and the Lifeguarding Instructor Review course.

The purpose of the American Red Cross r. 24 Lifeguarding Instructor course is to train instructor candidates to teach the basic-level courses in the American Red Cross Lifeguarding program.

The purpose of the American Red Cross r. 24 Lifeguarding Instructor Recertification course is to give instructors the opportunity to review the course knowledge and skills within a formal course setting to maintain their American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor certification. Successfully completing this course is the only method for maintaining certification as an American Red Cross Lifeguarding Instructor.

Classes with fewer than four participants will be canceled on the "Registration Deadline" date. Participants can still register after the cancelation date has passed if the class has not been canceled. If the class is canceled, the participant will receive a full refund.

Participants are expected to come to the first session with the online portion completed and must be able to pass the physical prerequisites as outlined below. No absences or tardiness will be allowed. Please bring a swimsuit, CPR mask, towel, lunch/dinner, and a device that allows you to view the Lifeguarding and Lifeguard Instructor Manual.
