Bike and Boat orientations are good for two years and are mandatory before borrowing this type of equipment.
A minimum of two and maximum of six people are required for the orientation to be offered. To sign up for an orientation, stop by the Outdoor Resource Center (ORC) or call 210-458-6720. RSVP a minimum of 24 hours in advance. No show fee applies for all free clinics.

Bike Orientations are now available online with our simple two-step process! Simply watch the video below with tips on how to thrive on and off trail then complete our quick Bike Orientation Quiz. When complete, you will be able to come in to the Outdoor Resource Center to check out a bike!
Boat Orientation (TBA)
Boat Orientations are from 5-6pm. The orientation consists of a 10-minute safety briefing followed by a 30-minute demonstration. During this demo, patrons will learn how to safely rack-their canoe or kayak to their vehicle. Clinic runs Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 5-6pm, arrive 15 minutes early for check in. FREE*. Looking to master the kayak roll or get in a kayak for the first time? Our kayak essentials clinic is the perfect opportunity to develop your kayak skills. We start with the basics and build your confidence and muscle memory so when the time comes, you have a greater likelihood of success in getting your kayak back up. Your instructor will work with you to achieve your personal goals. Registration takes place at the ORC and the clinic meets at the Leisure Pool.
