WHY DID I JUST EAT ALL THAT? OVERCOMING CRAVINGS & EMOTIONAL/STRESS-RELATED EATING
Do you tend to overindulge in “comfort foods” (or any food, really) only to ask yourself later, “Why did I just eat all that?” Do you struggle with your weight, knowing what you SHOULD be eating, but find yourself making less healthful choices for reasons that seem beyond your control? You’re not alone. If you’re like most people, you occasionally eat for reasons other than true hunger. It’s common to turn to food during exceptionally stressful or emotional times (dealing with relationship or employment issues, holiday eating, even when you’re bored).
In this session you’ll learn how listen to your body’s cues so that you can distinguish between your physiological need for nourishment and your psychological desire to eat. You’ll learn how to healthfully satisfy common food cravings (Yes, there IS a low-fat/calorie answer to chocolate cravings!) With the strategies and tips you’ll get in this hour, you’ll be equipped to deal with stress and emotions in ways that don’t involve food, allowing you to reach your nutritional goals with confidence.
