Like our Main Campus, our Downtown Facility offers FREE Group Fitness (GX) classes throughout the week. Group Exercise classes are available to all UTSA students and Rec Center members. There is no sign up required to attend these classes.

Fall Group Exercise Descriptions
Cardio Grooves – Get your body moving and your blood pumping! This class offers current dance and aerobic-inspired moves for a fun workout sure to make you sweat. Limit of 20 participants.
Core Express – Thirty (30) jam-packed minutes of challenging exercises targeting the abdominals, obliques, and low back. Leave feeling strong to the core. Limit of 20 participants.
Early Bird HIIT - Get your morning started with high intensity interval training! Push yourself past your comfort zone with upbeat music, high intensity cardio and strength training for the best workout of your week. Limit of 12 participants.
Hatha Yoga - Hatha yoga is a classic style of yoga. This class aims to increase strength, flexibility, balance, and encourage a healthy mind-body connection. Participants of all levels are invited to practice and learn authentic principles of yoga. Participants arriving late may not be admitted to class.
Piloxing - Piloxing combines the muscle sculpting of stand Pilates, the strengthening and cardio of boxing, and the fun and sensuality of dance into a high energy interval workout. Limit of 20 participants.
Step N' Core – Challenge yourself in Step N' Core! Fifty (50) minutes of high energy, anything goes cardio and strength exercises using a step that will leave you ready to conquer more! Limit of 12 participants.
Tabata 30 - Want to get a challenging full body workout but only have little time? Join us for thirty (30) minutes of exercises targeting all major muscle groups that will be perform in 20:10 second intervals. Leave feeling powerful and confident. Limit of 12 participants.
Total Body Challenge - This class offers a fast paced, total body workout. It's designed to define your muscles, enhance cardiovascular endurance, and strengthen your body. Push yourself past your comfort zone with max interval training. Will you accept the challenge? Limit of 12 participants.
Total Body Toning – This highly efficient, full body workout is just what you need to define and strengthen your muscles. Whether you are just starting out, or a fitness fanatic, this class will give you the results you want. Limit of 12 participants.
Zumba - Party yourself into shape with this exhilarating, effective, easy to follow dance fitness class. Inspired by Latin, international and popular music and dance themes, the routines combine fast and slow rhythms in an interval format to help you sweat, sculpt, and move. Limit of 20 participants.
